Digital marine insurance collaboration

Alem Jasarevic, Chief Operating Officer at Skuld shared the journey taking place within their organisation as they adopt machine learning and big data to better support their clients. Skuld's focus on digitalisation is four-fold:

Laurence Lee-Tsang-Tan, Head of Actuarial Analytics and Capital Management at Willis Re spoke about the need to turn data into value-added insights for insurance clients. 

The Decile 10 initiative has accelerated the understanding of technological benefits of digital and Laurence predicted that once the benefits are better understood, adoption will vastly improve.

Laurence also touched on the opportunities for digitalisation in the cargo insurance market.
